Our team at DM Injury Law gave back to the Kansas City community in a variety of ways. From raising money for cancer research to remodeling homes, we want to be a part of our community’s future. Take a look at some of our initiatives in February!
Sean D. Biggs Memorial Foundation – BIGGSteps Toward Cancer Prevention Pickleball Tournament
Proceeds from the BIGGSteps event benefited the Sean D. Biggs Memorial Foundation, established in 2012 in memory of Sean Biggs, a KU alumnus originally from Abilene, KS.
We raised funds for several causes dear to Sean’s heart, including cancer research, awareness of the causes and prevention of cancer, assisting individuals and families affected by cancer, and the creation of collegiate scholarships for study-abroad programs in the areas of alternative energy and energy efficiency.

Do Good Foundation’s Mobile Food Bank
The Do Good Foundation, in partnership with Harvesters, offers a Mobile Food Distribution, which creates a unique opportunity to engage with the community and actually see those that you are helping. On average, over 150 plus families come through to receive assistance, and we are able to give out over 20,000 pounds of food!

Habitat for Humanity – Lenexa ReStore
Volunteering at the Habitat ReStore allows you to directly support Habitat for Humanity’s mission by helping provide discounted building materials and home goods to local families in need. The funds raised at Habitat ReStores are used to build, rehabilitate, and repair homes, bringing affordable housing opportunities to communities near and far.
DM Injury Law staff members assisted with setting up displays, providing customer service, restocking shelves, organizing the store, and assisting on the sales floor.

DM volunteered and sponsored some ribs, potato salad, and baked beans for lunch. We served well over 50 people!

Ancient Order of Saint Barbara
The Ancient Order is reserved for an elite few whose long-term dedication to the Field Artillery has embodied the spirit, dignity, and sense of sacrifice and commitment epitomized by Saint Barbara.
It recognizes the select few who stand above their brethren of the Honorable Order in terms of conspicuous, lifetime service for or on behalf of the United States Army or Marine Corps Field Artillery. The Ancient Order is the more distinguished of the two levels of the Order of Saint Barbara.
