Attorney Montanna Hosterman joins DM Law with several years as an associate attorney. Montanna always wanted to choose a profession where she could help others and found that through the practice of law, she could help real people solve big problems that affected their daily lives. She has a passion for advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves, a desire to help others seek justice, a keen interest in legal problem-solving, and a strong desire to uphold the principles of fairness and equality.
As a personal injury lawyer, Montanna’s approach is a focus on client-centered representation, a commitment to thorough investigation and preparation, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to empathize with clients who have suffered harm. Relating to clients with effective communication is paramount to successfully ensuring the client feels supported and that their voice is heard. She strives to take a complex legal concept and convey that to clients in plain language, ensuring that they fully comprehend their rights and options. Using her compassion and empathetic communication strengthens the lawyer-client relationship and helps to ensure clients feel understood and supported.
Montanna was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and received her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Nebraska-Kearney where she played collegiate soccer and obtained a major in criminal justice and a minor in psychology. In 2017, she moved to Kansas City and graduated law school from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2020.
She currently serves on the Young Professionals Board for a non-profit organization called Safehome. Safehome’s core purpose is to provide a healing atmosphere where survivors of intimate partner abuse can gain inner strength, explore options, and be empowered to live a life free of abuse. Safehome provides shelter and resources to women and children so they can transition from their previous lives. Her hobbies include playing pickleball, disc golf, and any other outdoor activities.
