Our client was in the Ozarks enjoying some time on a johnboat when a drunk man on a jet ski crashed into him. The collision caused our client to break multiple bones, necessitating him to be airlifted to the hospital.
The man on the jet ski was a friend of the person who owned the jet ski and the lake house in the Ozarks. Our client met with a lawyer who told him the most he was going to get was $25K. That was nowhere near enough to pay off the medical bills and other losses.
When he then came to DM Law, personal injury attorney Michael DiPasquale immediately recognized that he could receive $25K just from the jet ski’s insurance policy. That doesn’t cover the policy of the property owner or the person driving the jet ski.
We then began to look for other avenues to secure more compensation for our client. Through careful investigation, we were able to find coverage in the property owner’s homeowners insurance policy and the jet ski driver’s homeowners insurance policy.
In total, through three different policies, we secured a $925,000 settlement for our client.
